Optimal PV array configurations for partial shading conditions

Increasing the effectiveness of photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems is a major barrier to their widespread use. Partial shading conditions (PSCs), which are caused by nearby objects like trees, buildings, and clouds, reduce energy produced PV may be mitigated reconfiguration arrays. A novel approach dubbed modified series-parallel (MSP) setup, was suggested in this paper compares its performance four configuration strategies: (SP), total-cross-tied (TCT), bridge-linked (BL), honey-comb (HC). 3×3 solar array used five partial arrangements. MATLAB/Simulink simulates all conditions. This study indicated that MSP delivers high superior other configurations terms maximum even uneven row-shaded cases. case an column shaded, (SP, BL, HC, TCT) equal obtained, while least comparison. TCT best compared when system vertically unevenly. Finally, for diagonal shading, work best. Shading loss, mismatch loss fill factor (FF) results were also compared.
